My work emerges from my experience of desire and out from the categories that made identity a condition for understanding desire. It is an attempt to resist the idea what we need to use to navigate the world should also determine what we are.

I use the male nude body as the material of experience, working through emotion to investigate possibility. My photography is the outcome of encounters with people who become part of a slow, primarily analog process in which movement, physical proximity, friendship, trust, and intimacy become the visual language of my work.
